A Comparative Study of Personality Traits Between Indoor (Futsal) and Outdoor Football Referees

The research aimed to identify individual differences in personality traits among a sample of referees from the Iraqi Football Association in Al-Muthanna Governorate, specializing in indoor and outdoor football, totaling (30) referees. The researcher adopted a descriptive approach, comparing personality traits between indoor and outdoor referees and identifying differences in personality traits between them The researcher used Pearson's correlation coefficient to reveal the nature of the differences, and the results showed a statistically significant difference in personality traits between referees of indoor (halls) and outdoor football fields The researcher recommends the necessity of developing referees by having them participate in psychological courses and addressing their psychological conditions through practical lessons to assess their psychological state, as well as the presence of a psychologist in the refereeing courses that referees participate in .
