Author Guidelines

Article Types

1. Research Articles: An Article is a research novel study in various fields of scientific interest to the readership of the journal.

2. Review Subject: Comprehensive analyses of recent developments, improvements, discoveries, and ideas in various fields of fundamental and applied science.

3. Letters to the Editor: These include opinions, comments relating to the publishing policy of the journal, news, and suggestions. Letters are not to exceed a single page.

4. Brief Communication: Type of studies that falls short of the criteria for a full research article.

The editor reserves the right to decide that an article may be treated as a research note.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Submission Checklist for Muthanna Journal of Pure Science (MJPS)

  1. Article Type: Confirm the appropriate category (Research Article, Review, Letter, Brief Communication).
  2. Manuscript Format: Submitted in MS Word and PDF format with Times New Roman font.

    A full template file can download from here (doc file).

    Structure: Includes Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments (if applicable), and References.
  3. Corresponding Author: Designated with contact details (email and full postal address).
  4. Figures and Tables:
    • Figures (300 dpi or higher) with captions, cited consecutively.
    • Tables as editable text, not images, and non-duplicative of text.
  5. References: Formatted according to the numerical system and CAS abbreviations.
  6. Referees: Suggested at least 3 independent, non-native referees with email addresses.
  7. Open Access Compliance: Aware of the CC-BY license and publication fees (50,000 IQD).
  8. Ethical Compliance:
    • Research protocol outlined and ethically approved (if applicable).
    • Conflict of interest and funding sources declared.
    • Informed consent obtained for human/animal studies.
  9. Originality: Screened for plagiarism using Turnitin; no duplicate submission or publication.
  10. Authorship: All authors have contributed significantly and approved the submission.
  11. Data Availability: Data set information provided (if applicable).
  12. Supplementary Materials: Submitted as a single PDF (if applicable).
  13. Submission Declaration: Confirmed no prior publication, and all authors agree to terms.
  14. Technical Checks: Spell-checked, grammar-checked, and references verified.
